Breathwork & Meditation Session
Led by Varrun Ashok. “In these hour-long, interactive breathwork and meditation sessions, participants will learn valuable tools to manage their minds. Breath is a powerful tool with which we can regulate our thoughts and emotions. Meditation helps dive deep within and experience inner freedom. Together, these techniques enhance our well-being, improve mental focus and clarity, and facilitate growth.”

Trans Adult Affinity Group (18+) will be held on the first Wednesday and third Friday of every month. This group is for any trans-identifying or questioning adults (18+) who want a space to feel connected to their fellow community members.

The WQRC invites you to join us on Sunday, September 28th 2025, for a Queer Hike at the Forest Park (meeting at the Springville Road Trailhead)!
ALL ARE WELCOME! Our events foster a welcoming, supportive, and safe environment for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, their families, and allies.
Timeline of Events:
8:15 AM - Meet for carpool/caravan at designated locations (or feel free to meet directly at the hike location at 9 AM!)
8:30 AM - Depart
9:00 AM - Arrive & start the hike!
How far will we go?
This trailhead is nestled within Forest Park, which is 5,100 acres and has more than 80 miles of trails. We plan to hike to St. John's bridge from the Springville Road trailhead, which is approximately 1.5 miles away, so we expect to hike at least 3 miles, possibly more if we take detours!

AIDS Walk Northwest
We are so happy this year to be a community partner at AIDS Walk Northwest!
The walk will take place on Saturday September 13th from 9am to noon at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park. The WQRC will be there to table and to participate in fundraising. Any funds raised through WQRC team page will be split 50/50 with the Cascade AIDS Project and the Westside Queer Resource Center.
The vision of the WQRC is to create & sustain an environment where everyone belongs and is supported on their journey. CAP has been working in our communities since 1983 and is the oldest and largest community-based provider of HIV services, housing, education and advocacy in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
